Colonial Life renews USC Arena Naming Rights

Colonial Life and the University of South Carolina have agreed to extend the Colonial Life Arena naming rights sponsorship.

The renewed agreement, which runs Oct. 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, includes exterior and interior signage at the Colonial Life Arena as well as promotional packages with the Gamecock athletics program.

“The sponsorship renewal represents our continued strong commitment to the University of South Carolina and the greater Midlands community,” said Tim Arnold, Colonial Life’s president and CEO. “We have a long history of supporting the University of South Carolina and providing business, civic and charitable support in the Midlands and across the state.”

Colonial Life’s sponsorship has spanned over 20 years, starting as the University’s first corporate naming rights sponsor in October 2003. In that time, the women’s basketball program has won 3 National Championships. Other partnerships with the University include participation on the Darla Moore School of Business Board of Advisors and support for the College of Education’s Apple Core initiative, Champions of Education gala, Classroom Catalyst Grant Program, the Education Leaders Experience program, and CarolinaTIP.

Together, our brands benefit from the many outstanding events we host—from basketball games to concerts, shows, graduations, and more.”

Colonial Life Arena opened its doors for its inaugural event on November 22, 2002, debuting with the South Carolina Women’s Basketball season opener. Since then, it has proudly remained the home of South Carolina Men’s and Women’s Basketball. With the largest capacity in the state, the arena serves as the premier entertainment and sports facility for Columbia, the Midlands, and all of South Carolina. In addition to Gamecock Basketball, Colonial Life Arena hosts a variety of events including concerts of all genres, comedy shows, trade shows, and family shows, University of South Carolina commencement ceremonies, high school graduations and more.
